Who we are and what we do

The African Institute for Strategic Research Governance and Development (AISRGD) is a non- profit organization founded and formed in Kampala Uganda. AISRGD was adopted at the meeting held in Kampala on 7th July 2007 where representatives from Makerere University, Gulu University and few selected individuals from Civil society Organizations and Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) from Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda all gathered at Makerere University with the aim to contribute and provide an overarching vision and strategic policy action research, trainings and consultancy framework for accelerating social, economic co-operation and integration among the Great Lakes regions and to other African countries·.......Learn More

MISSION STATEMENT: Foster sustainable peace and development in Africa through strategic policy research and training that promote high quality and considered study so as to equally inform and influences policy and decision making.

The goals are

• Promote and advocates for post-conflict stability and balanced national development
• Build and increase conflict management skills and capacity development
